What is Treasure Coast Telecare?

Treasure Coast Telecare is a virtual urgent care that affords patients, who are currently visiting or living in the state of Florida, the convenience of conducting medical consults over the internet. Board Certified medical providers can visit with you via secure video to help treat non-emergency medical conditions. Our providers can diagnose your symptoms, prescribe medications, and send prescriptions to your pharmacy. Treasure Coast Telecare is not an insurance company and does not provide insurance benefits.

Is Treasure Coast Telecare appropriate for every medical condition?

No. Treasure Coast Telecare is designed to handle non-emergency medical issues. Treasure Coast Telecare is not intended to replace your primary care doctor. You should not use Treasure Coast Telecare if you are experiencing a medical emergency. In case of a medical life-threatening emergency, you should dial 911, immediately.

How do I sign up for Treasure Coast Telecare and Start a Visit?

  1. Download the Chrome or Firefox internet browsers
  2. Go online and visit: www.treasurecoasttelecare.com
  3. Click Start Visit now
  4. Create your secure account with your preferred email and password
  5. Fill out the personal information and answer required medical information
  6. Click the start visit button and wait for provider to initiate visit
  7. See and chat with your provider through a 100% HIPAA compliant video to receive quick and easy treatment.

When is Treasure Coast Telecare available?

Treasure Coast Telecare is available from 8am to 6pm, 7 days a week, and 365 days a year, even on holidays. Use Treasure Coast Telecare when you have a non-emergency medical condition, need a prescription refill, are unable to see your primary care provider, or when you simply prefer a convenient, cost effective alternative to the urgent care center, or clinic.

Can Treasure Coast Telecare be accessed on mobile devices?

Yes, Treasure Coast Telecare can be accessed on most mobile devices with an Internet connection. Our service is available through the evisit app which is available for download in the iTunes Store and the Google Play Store.

Can a provider prescribe medication as part of an Treasure Coast Telecare visit?

Yes, if the Treasure Coast Telecare medical provider believes medication is warranted, he or she can write a prescription for non-narcotic medications (i.e. no controlled substances), which can be sent directly to the pharmacy of your choice, in the state of Florida. As soon your consultation is over, your prescription will be sent electronically a pharmacy of your choosing, but only in the state of Florida. If for any reason your pharmacy is unable to receive e-prescriptions, your provider will notify you and a prescription can be called in for you.

Is Treasure Coast Telecare safe and private?

We take your privacy very seriously. Our video conferencing software and electronic medical records are HIPPA compliant. HIPPA laws are designed to protect your privacy. Treasure Coast Telecare can share your information with your primary care or specialist provider in accordance with applicable state and federal laws.

What system requirements do I need for Treasure Coast Telecare videoconferencing?

To use video conferencing you need:

  • Windows®7, Vista, or XP
  • A Mac running OSX 10.6 (Snow Leopard) or superior.
  • Goole chrome or Firefox internet browser
  • Highspeed internet connection
  • A webcam with at least 1.3 megapixels
  • Microphone (most webcams already have microphone built in)
